Towns County Awake America Prayer Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 11:59 a.m. at the Towns County Civic Center in Hiawassee, Georgia, and all are invited to attend.
Awake America Prayer Meetings are held in North Georgia, Western North Carolina and Tennessee. Their primary focus is to bring pastors, government officials, business leaders, members of the military, the media, and concerned citizens together to pray for our great nation, its leaders, and for revival in America. Monthly prayers are offered at 11:59 (noon) from city halls, city parks, and libraries and courthouses.
The foundational scripture for Awake America Prayer Meetings is based on 2 Chronicles 7:14-16: 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.
