What an honor for the Voices Of Hope Evangelistic Team to participate with many faithful prayer warriors in celebrating the Twelvth Anniversary of the Murphy, North Carolina, Cherokee County Awake America Prayer Meetings on Thursday, June 18. 2026.
Quoting Lydia Long, Coordinator - Awake America Prayer Meetings, "We were blessed today to celebrate our 12th anniversary at AAPM Cherokee County courthouse, Murphy, North Carolina.
The Lord has been so faithful to our prayers made through the years. A big God bless you to our facilitator, Ron Gosselin , who is now stepping down after Faithfully leading community prayer for 12 years. Also to Maria Maria Wood Hass , who has been very instrumental in our location there and the memorial Library from the beginning.
We will continue to have our regular prayer meeting every third Thursday at the Cherokee County courthouse. I'm so thankful for the Voices of Hope Fire Choir that continue on with the good fight of Faith... singing and bringing prayer into our AAPM's. A big God bless you too all who continue to support this location. To God be the glory for all that he has done."
Lydia welcomed everyone and gave the Invocation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Then fervent prayers were offered by the prayer warriors for the following: our Military, First Responders, National/Local/State Government Leaders, Unity in the body Of Christ, Media in America, Businesses, Repentance/Revival for America, America's Youth/Revival for Youth/Human Trafficking, Persecuted Church, Education and Leaders, Pastors/Christian Leaders/their families, Unborn Children/Family Restoration. Awake America Prayer Meetings are held in North Georgia, Western North Carolina and Tennessee. Their primary focus is to bring pastors, government officials, business leaders, members of the military, the media, and concerned citizens together to pray for our great nation, its leaders, and for revival in America. Monthly prayers are offered at 11:59 (noon) from city halls, city parks, libraries and courthouses.
The foundational scripture for Awake America Prayer Meetings is based on 2 Chronicles 7:14-16: 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.
The mission of Voices of Hope Evangelistic Team is to preach and sing God's Word in churches, revivals, community events and other activities throughout our area and beyond. Our prayer is that those who are not saved will be, those who need to rededicate their lives will, those who need to be filled with the Holy Spirit will receive Him, and those who need healing or just a touch from God will receive it.

What an honor for the Voices Of Hope Evangelistic Team to participate with many faithful prayer warriors in celebrating the Thirteenth Anniversary of the City of Blairsville Awake America Prayer Meetings on Thursday, June 4. 2026.
Quoting Lydia Long, Coordinator - Awake America Prayer Meetings, "We had an awesome time of prayer today. The presence of the Lord was very strong at Blairsville City hall. It seems like it has only been a few years ago that we started here. However, 13 years has definitely been a huge blessing for all of us. A special thanks to Pastor Terry Reamsnyder and Sandy Carpenter Reamsnyder who let us in worship, at the conclusion of our service. A big God bless you to all who continue to sacrifice their time to come and pray at Blairsville City hall. To God be the glory for the things he has done. He is worthy to be praised. We keep seeing answered prayers. Never, never give up on the Lord. ."
